LSOM Artist Lecture Series: Daniel Newnham

  • London School of Mosaic 181 Mansfield Road London NW3 2HP United Kingdom (map)

Daniel volunteers in our workshop, running the ‘Zoo Wall’ project and sharing his experience with mosaicists working in our space. Daniel initially trained as a Fine Artist and now works as a vetinarian, situating his practise within the industry through continued creative work, painting anatomy models, plastinating specimens and running life drawing sessions with animals.

In 2008 Daniel was commissioned to run a mosaic and ceramic program in Nepal for the charity ‘The Esther Benjamins Trust’. He spent a year with the charity working with young people who were either deaf or had been rescued as children from circuses, to retrain as mosaicists.

DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES THERE WILL BE NO ZOOM AVAILABLE TONIGHT. The talk will run as normal in the space and we will be recording the talk, email info@lsomosaic.com if you would like to recieve a copy of the talk.
